Description

Come volunteer with us!

As a Volunteer, You Will:

  • Create a safe space, riding along with social worker Sophie to two teens houses for pick up to the library!
  • Safe Environment Training is required

It's a wonderful opportunity to help our social workers by being another adult as we pick up two underage clients.

Expected Availability and Commitment:

  • Meeting at the Villard Square Library-5190 N 35th St, Milwaukee, WI 53209

  • This shift is from 5:15-6:15pm

  • Can be a one-time opportunity or recurring opportunity.

Required Training:

You will complete required forms for a background check and sign Catholic Charities' client confidentiality agreement as well as complete the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's Safe Environment training course.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years old to volunteer with a parent or legal guardian or 18 years old to volunteer alone.

To help with our clients journey, sometimes their social worker needs to do a pickup. With underage clients it is required to have 2 adults trained in Safe Environment Training with the underage clients at all times

Join our mission to provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same. Partner with us to improve the lives of those we serve, to empower the most vulnerable, and to help reduce poverty through quality, compassionate, and effective human services.
