All volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer independently, and at least 16 years old to volunteer with an accompanying guardian.
However, volunteers aged 16 or 17 may volunteer independently only at our Adult Day Center if they provide a signed permission form from a parent or guardian.
Yes, we occasionally, have done-in-a-day group volunteer opportunities from yard clean-up to hygiene kit packing. At this time, Catholic Charities is unable to accept court-mandated community service volunteers. Our volunteer opportunities require a minimum six-month commitment, as we prioritize building long-term, meaningful relationships between our volunteer and the individuals we serve.
Safe Environment Training is required for all volunteers who will be working with children. This important training ensures the safety and well-being for the children we serve and helps create a secure environment for everyone.
This certification is valid for five years and qualifies you to participate in any of Catholic Charities volunteer roles involving children.
